So three days after I posted that the next time I would buy a computer is if I really needed one I bought one. I guess I'm eating my words pretty quickly. But it's not for me so cut me some slack please.
Today OLPC opened up xogiving.org which is where you can donate a XO laptop to a child in a developing country. But you probably know it as the one laptop per child project at laptop.org. And I'm not talking about wiping shelves or scrubbing the tub kind of cleaning (although that type of cleaning is important too), I'm talking about cleaning out stuff. And enough stuff to empty a shelf. If you're like me, you've accumulated a ton of stuff over some time and it might be affecting the way you're living.
Signs that you have too much stuff:
- You can't park in the garage.
- You need to watch your step to get around in your room.
- You have 5 shirts at the bottom of the dresser drawer that act as padding for the shirts on top.
- You can't see the top of your desk anymore.
- You adopt cats.
