The Stuff Lifecycle

While moving back home I found my old Windows XP CD that I thought I lost. Pretty sad that it was missing for a long year and a half (and even sadder for Microsoft that it is still a relevant OS). Through this I realized that I need a better way of organizing. Many life organizational blogs like Zen Habits talk about needing to have a defined place to put everything. And from time to time we should even go through things we store up and determine if we even want it still. That brings up my idea of "The Stuff Lifecycle", patent pending...jk.

Biking to Work

Bike at work

I took advantage of the OC bike lanes and rode to work today and honestly the bike lanes are pretty good here. It took me 65 minutes for the 11.3 miles from Irvine to Lake Forest and it seemed the way to work was on more of an uphill grade so that should make the way home easier. Why bike to work? Because it's good exercise. That and I think we should all be conscious of alternative methods of transportation to do our part to stem the use of foreign oil and help the environment. Thanks to my brother for lending me the 11 year old GT Timberline. Now I have to decide if I want to take my laptop home tonight.

Cell Phone

So I've been rocking the old first gen Motorola RAZR recently. It's a mediocre phone, definitely not the latest or greatest, and it's a downgrade from my last phone. However, in many ways that is why I got it. For many years I've switched carriers and signed shady contracts to get something sleeker, cooler, geekier, etc which eventually led to a Treo with data access. But now I'm dumping the data plan and going to try to break the cycle.
